This past Tuesday was the launch of my first in a series of children’s books, Bubbles. Many friends – old and new – came to celebrate with my family and I. Their love and support were so reassuring.
I have lived much of my life under a shroud of fear. It has taken a lifetime to work through much of it (and it is an ongoing process) and I know for certain that I could not have done it alone.
So I want to thank my God, my family, my friends, my publisher and illustrator, my professors at Hunter College, my employers and the wellness professionals who encouraged me; who held me in their love and support, and believed in me when I couldn’t believe in myself.
You all taught me to show up in spite of myself and in spite of my feelings. You saved my life. You saved my soul.
Kindly yours and in gratitude,
Bubbles is an illustrated children’s book that teaches children meditation techniques to ease stress, anxiety or oppression. The book also teaches universal concepts such as sharing, unity, bonding, friendship, and peacefulness. Bubbles can be purchased anywhere children’s books are sold.
